What can you experience on the island?

Lysøen is a great hiking area with fantastic nature. There are several maps around the island, where you can easily find a hiking opportunity that suits you.

The island has 13 kilometers of hiking trails, follow the signs along the trails.

Along the way there are benches and picnic areas where you can take a nice break. A highlight is the lookout tower, which is located on the island's highest point 76 m.o.h.

This year we have a small kiosk by the quay (open from June 18), which sells coffee, mineral water and ice cream, among other things. There are also toilets.

We remind you that there is a total ban on all use of fire on the island (including barbecue).

There are several nice bathing spots on the island, including in Apalviken.

You can also visit the island with your own boat. See info about guest quay here.
