Visit our cosy little café at Lysøen serving freshly made waffles, ice-cream, soft drinks and coffee/tea.
The café can be found right next to Ole Bull’s villa, and is located inside a building that was once the servants’ quarters. In 1980, it was turned into the janitor’s lodging. It was used that way until 1996, when a new home for the janitor was constructed down by the harbour. At that point, the house was converted into a cafe, and it has remained one ever since.
The café follows the opening hours of the museum.
The café seats about 30 people on the first floor, and 15 in two small rooms with a slanted roof on the second floor. There are also seats outside.
Please order beforehand if you want coffee/lunch for your group. Lunch/buffet-style cold dishes for groups must be booked in advance.
